Ice Report 2.7.1

Ice Report is a helpful tool for fisherman seeking up-to-date information on lake ice conditions. Designed specifically for the ice fishing season in Northern climates, this app eliminates the need for users to search various online platforms for ice reports. Instead, Ice Report allows anglers and resorts to easily post and share their observations of ice thickness.

All new reports are displayed in a distinct dark color, while reports older than 3 days are marked with a lighter shade. By default, Ice Report shows reports made within the last 7 days, ensuring users are provided with the most recent data.

To make use of Ice Report, users can simply log in and access the map feature. It is important to note that the Display Name chosen during login will be visible to other anglers. If you are actively fishing, feel free to contribute to the community by submitting a report through the app. This can be done by selecting the + sign and indicating the measured ice thickness at your specific location.

Please keep in mind that Ice Report utilizes your current GPS location, therefore it is essential that reports are only submitted while fishing. Premium users have the ability to place icons without GPS functionality.

If a report has been mistakenly placed, you can easily rectify the situation by selecting your report and utilizing the Delete button.

The calendar icon within the app allows users to view reports submitted within a specified date range, offering even more control and customization.

It is important to note that while all lake ice data is submitted by users, it is crucial to exercise caution and prioritize safety when venturing onto frozen lakes. Ice Report highly encourages everyone to consult their local Department of Natural Resources for accurate and reliable safety information.

For iOS users, it is worth mentioning that Ice Report utilizes Google Maps as its mapping tool.
